VSO Media Player supports practically every existing media format without external codecs. It also allows playing DVD and Blu-ray discs as well as working with image files. Although it is, undeniably, easy to use, the program has an unattractive interface. Like other programs, it has the typical playback buttons and playlist. However, it definitely needs a redesign with the help of well-finished visual elements.
Similarly to other media players, this program supports configuring such image parameters as contrast, brightness, saturation and gamma. It also allows taking screenshots of selected video frames. Likewise, it lets you decide whether you want to start at the last playback position or not.
The application has some other advantages that distinguish it from other media players. In this regard, I was particularly pleased by its subtitle editor, which allows the personalization of the way subtitles are displayed, including fonts, colors and screen position. Another rather unique feature is an easy-to-use audio boost control.
All in all, VSO Media Player has the main benefits of being intuitive and supporting multiple formats. However, I don't think it can compete with other more sophisticated players that are available out there.
An application that lets you convert videos among a large variety of formats.
